The Decision

About seven months ago, I decided to create a short film to announce to a few of my friends and close ones—those who didn’t already know—that I was pursuing filmmaking, something that truly brings me joy. I figured, what better way to make that announcement than through a short film?

Although it was a low-effort project, I still put thought into it because I have a hard time doing things mindlessly. Once I locked in, I completed the film in just three days. Originally, I planned to share the news through a simple text message, but I wanted to make the announcement cinematic—just because I could. It also gave me the chance to experiment with some filmmaking ideas I’d been wanting to try.
